What this site stores, why, and for how long.
Without signing in
The web server keeps no access log. To prevent abuse, the site counts sign-in attempts per IP address in memory for a few minutes. There are no analytics or advertising services. Fonts and graphics are served from this server.
The site remembers two settings in cookies so pages appear the way you chose: your language (bt_lang) and light or dark mode (bt_theme), each for one year. They contain only that choice.
When signed in
For sign-in the site sets one more cookie (bt_sid). It holds a random identifier; only its checksum is stored, together with the time of last use and the browser identifier. A sign-in lasts 30 days and can be ended at any time in “My account” or in game with web abmelden.
When you sign in with Discord, Discord gives us your Discord ID, display name and avatar identifier (scope “identify”, no email address). Your browser loads your avatar directly from Discord.
If you link the site to your game account, we associate the Discord ID with that account. Game data (character, offices, votes, play time) comes from the game and is stored there under its rules. Actions you take on the site are recorded in the procedural log just as in game. In elections only that you voted is stored under your account, never your choice.
Entry application
The game server stores what you enter in the entry application together with your Discord ID. The team reads the application to decide on access.
Legal basis and your rights
Processing serves the operation of the game you use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); limiting sign-in attempts serves server security (point (f)). You may request access, rectification and erasure; contact the party named in the legal notice.
